I say this with such happiness because an hour ago, I was expecting I'd be writing "Our house was robbed, and they took everything."
Turns out the morons didn't take any major cash, my X-box, two computers, Tv, vcr, dvd player, or anything else that's even remotely important to me. They broke into our house, tore down closets, went through drawers, sifted through jewelry boxes, and attics, and they left with like, 20 bucks in tips, some cash dad had left on a bookshelf (a really small amount) and my beat up first generation Nintendo DS.
Yes. My DS. With my X-box still there.
And what has me even gladder is that I was scheduled to stay home from work today, but at the last minute mom decided cut back a day for our cook, Wednesdays, actually. So I was told this morning that yeah, I'd have to go work at the cafe. I keep wondering what would have happened if our cook had been working and I hadn't had to go in...I would've been at home when these punks decided to break in.
So yeah. I'm pretty much just...thankful.

I promise.

Once they all believed in dragons when the world was fresh and young. We were woven into legends; tales were told and songs were sung. We were treated with obeisance; we were honored, we were feared.
Then one day they stopped believing. On that day...
